I used to be that way as well. But over the last couple of years I'm actually liking college more than the NFL. It's not at the same level for sure but there is more excitement to it with special teams play and turnovers.

BTW-I don't hate you. I would first have to know who you are, other than someone who hates football and drives an SUV that is. I used to hate football until I moved to a city with a major football team and one that was actually good at the time. Living there in my early 20s really made me a fan. YMMV but it's a fun sport to watch and going to the games rules!!!

Yeah, i dont like football because no one i knew growing up liked it. Plus the idea that some 700lb lump of lard (whose only apparent job is to run 3 feet into the opposing lump of lard) could be considered an athlete kind of turns me off.

That same "700lb lump of lard" is in better shape than most likely you will ever be though.

Im actually quite fit, although its all from the gym, i dont play any sports.

I'm also very fit but I'd never be any good at football. It's a brutal contact sport and I'm a cyclist...and an older one at that. Still, I could ride circles around most guys half my age.

It helps if you live in a city with a good football team and a lot of team spirit or if you go to a college with a decent team. Quite honestly, I enjoy the team spirit and the game is interesting and fun to watch. I know that my post probably isn't going to change your mind but keep in mind that I was like you once but now that I'm older there are many things I never experienced by the time I was in my early 20s that I find interesting now. I never watched F1 until about 10 years ago and now I'm a huge F1 fan. I never had any interest in Soccer until this years World Cup but you can bet I'll be watching them from now on.
