I hate Firefox bookmarks.

Gah! Why don't they just let you drag and drop folders, rearrange things or delete the damn bookmarks toolbar folder. Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow these things? I'd just liketo be able to rearrange things simply, and in my own arbitrary order.

Yargh!

Rearrange Things = Manage bookmarks

I also have a plugin called "Add Bookmark Here", makes it a lot easier for me to add bookmarks.

I think "Manage Bookmarks" is Firefox default, though...

Re-arranging stuff works fine for me wether I do it in the "Manage Bookmarks..." window or by dragging them up and down on the menu itself, so I don't really understand why this is happening to you, but I sympathise with your situation as I have been thoroughly annoyed by such things in the past.

If you want to get rid of the "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder," you can use paste this simple script into your userChrome.css file (assuming you have one, or know how/where to make one if not): -

/* Hide the "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" folder inside bookmarks menu */
menu[label="Bookmarks Toolbar Folder"] { display: none !important; }

Heh, you guys are lucky. I stick with IE7 but they still haven't implemented the same tyep of toolbar as FF. With FF if you put a folder on the toolbar and then middle click it, it will open in tabs. With IE7, no can do. Nor can you arrange sites the way you want to. It's all alpha order.

one of the reasons why i dont use Opera is because u can't drag/drop their bookmarks in the favs, u have to go into the settings. 🙁

Hmm mine doesn't move either. Are you using a non-default theme?

Edit: not working in safe mode either. hmm.

I'm using the PlastikFox theme (love it), and if it were not for the bookmark toolbar, I'd probably go back to IE. I love that damn thing.
