I hate firefox 3's bookmark and url toolbars...

I dont understand them. All i want in my toolbar are the few sites that i visit, i like it really clean...now there are like hundreds of different pages. and the bookmarks toolbar is so different.

is there a version of fasterfox for Firefox3?

Screw FasterFox, use About:Config

Most of the adjustments though have been made already by default though.

Also what are you having trouble with, it's all pretty straight forward and much better than FF2 IMO.

On the contrary, I LOVE the bookmark sidebar on my widescreen. I used an add-on to do just in FF2.

Firefox should give the user the Option of either turning the "Awesome Bar" on or off
as desired. I for one, do not want to see sites I visited in my drop downs. Maybe they
make some changes in the next release.

To disable the awesome bar:

Enter about:config in address bar & change this to true:

browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped

I love the awesome bar...it's made me a complete convert to FF, and I could never stand using FF2 for more than a week.

That would work, but why not just put a check box
in the options ? ? ? Most people do not know how
to modify the config

I hate it. I start typing in the url of the page I want to visit, and I get something completely unrelated not even containing the text I'm typing.

Just installed FF3 .. not too bad. All my addons had updates to be compatible with it.
Only thing I don't like so far is auto complete of URL's and I would like to be able to
change the look of the toolbar icons. And you can't move the toolbars if you want them
on different lines in the browser window. Otherwise, not too bad so far.
