A little help and direction if you please:
My Win2K system, after running fine for a year came up today with the following message:
STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)
The Unhandled Exception in Session Manager system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shutdown
I reset the computer, went into BIOS and found nothing abnormal. Attempted reboot and got the same message. Shutting down all the way, checked all connections, nothing out of place.
Got onto MS support site and searched for the "STOP" phrase; only article discussed getting that message when logging into domain with FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of greater than 200 characters. This PC is not connected to a network and has no (that I know of) domain settings.
I'm thinking possibly memory or processor might be the culprit. All voltages are within range. If anyone has any helpful suggestions please reply. System specs as follows:
Antec Full Tower case w/Antec 350W PS
Asus A7V333 mobo
AMD XP 2200+
CoolerMaster HHC-001 HSF
1x512MB Corsair PC2100 RAM
Adaptec 19160 SCSI Card
Quantum 10KIII 36GB HDD
Plextor 12/10/32 SCSI CDRW
Toshiba SCSI DVD-ROM
Windows 2000 Pro
Also, ran Verify Disk utility from Adaptec card, no errors reported on disk. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
