You can "bookmark" it by "watching" it.
Watching is a feature in ebay. I don't mean checking up on it every other hour.

yes and get outbid by .01 by the guy who bid at the last minute.

You can't outbid by a penny.... there's a minimum increment to the bids.
(unless maybe someone has a proxy bid and you happen to guess how much it is and go 1 cent over)

Thats exactly what I do. Works 99% of the time

I bid when I want to. I seem to always screw up and bidding way higher than I wanted to when I'm bidding last minute against someone else.
