I hate clubs/bars that are cheap with their liquor

First I had 3 beers and got an ok buzz going. I then got an AMF and a Long Island afterwards. My friend then got a round of Jager bombs. I also had 2 or 3 margaritas that night too. Yet after all these I wasn't drunk at all. I know for sure that if these drinks had their correct alcohol content in them I would've been pretty plastered that night.

Arrgh, freakin cheapskates.

Tip better next time. I've never gotten a weak drink when tipping well. We go to a bar here in town, and our drinks are easily 3/4 alcohol from the Bartenders. Sure, I throw them a good bit extra for a tip, but I don't have to pay a cover at this club (due to tipping well), and then I get very strong drinks. If I get a weak drink at a place I've never been I'll just tip the guy a few bucks extra. If I still get a weak drink I'll leave or switch to beer. I typically start out with Beer anyway...

It's actually illegal to water down drinks, if the bars get caught they can get in big trouble and face huge fines...

Mexico doesn't water down their drinks. (they don't give you glasses, either)

Always be suspicious of a bartender who doesn't make the drink in plain sight.

Yeah for real, go up to the bar order the drinks and watch the bartender make it. Also, a little tip to get faster service: Bring a crisp C-note and fold it in half length wise and use it to get the bartender's attention, then run a tab on credit. Works great at bars around here since it's mostly the college crowd. You almost never have to wait for a drink.

I hate when I order a martini at a bar and they don't rinse out the shaker well prior to mixing my martini. I can taste the slightest hint of any other drink in the shaker if it isn't rinsed well. Oh, and vermouth should not be allowed anywhere near my martini (I know, technically it's just vodka up but stick an olive in it and it's a martini as far as I'm concerned).

Oh, and dirty martinis are horrible. I ordered a martini once and I watched in horror as this young woman poured olive juice in it. I asked her what she was doing and she said this how a guy told me to make them. I tried it and it was un drinkable. She made me another one on the house if I would tell her how to make a proper martini. 😉
