A bit over two months ago, I totalled my car (and even posted about it). So anyway, i'm in the market for a car, i'm thinking used since I plan on (hopefully) financing a WRX STi out of college. I found a really nice car at my local honda dealership, a '96 Civic EX Coupe (5-speed), with only 43k miles. When I asked about it, they said it was sold (and then tried selling me a '99 for 13k..hah). I asked them to show me the signed papers for a car and all, and he did -- showed it sold for $5600 on 1/11
(a hot deal all in its own). I looked at the Carfax report they gave me for it and it had a clean history. So anyway, yesterday I was doing my daily checking on a few dealer's websites and autotrader.com, when I find the car that had been sold TWO WEEKS AGO (according to them) suddenly popped up on autotrader.com and their website, for $5,495.00 or so...wtf? So i walked out of the computer labs and gave the salesman who was helping me a call, all he kept saying was "it duzzn mattah wut da net sez" ...
Stupid bait & switch tactics...
btw, here's a link to that car (already sold according to those idiots): link
