Just let them be. Tell them you aren't interested and go on your way.
No matter what, someone is going to want to change some aspect of you. Lots of people want to change others. Some may not like your religion, some may not like the music you listen to, some may not like your sexual preference. Sure, it's annoying. I'm a Christian and these people annoy me. I get yelled at by some Christians for saying that everyone should be left to their own lives.
Don't let them get to you. Just ignore them or explain that you aren't interested.

They are arrogant freaks. They believe in a religion that has a built-in superiority complex. Is it any wonder that the worlds turmoil is a product of fighting among the Abrahamic religions? The world would be better without Chrisitianity and Islam.

All? no... Most? yes. It's a genetic adaptation, one which is thankfully losing its strength now that it's no longer needed.

Now now, Gurck. Sometimes the 'something Greater' is science, a better (more successful) version of themselves, or even just a hot babe. I know the study you are referring to and that's not what I'm talking about. What I am talking about is a motivation in almost everyone. The motivation to reach for more than what is currently available within or without. It doesn't matter if it is spiritual, material, or intellectual, because that is shaped by the environment we grew up in. And sometimes, if we hated the environment we grew up in, we reach for something as different as possible. "Religion" is just a construct and can be anything, including atheism, humanism, etc.

i LOVE hinduism. my friend (who's atheist, but his family's hindu) told me that you have to be born into it, no converts allowed. kicks ass.
What is wrong with Hinduism is (from her perspective) that it is not Christianity. If this is your gripe, it seems doubly foolish as griping about the time you voluntarily wasted. There some 3 billion practicioners of Islam and Christianity, and the vast majority of them believe that you are going to some form of "hell" for your beliefs.Originally posted by: Connoisseur
I detest people who are so close minded as to think they're "saving" me from my religion. Exactly what the hell is wrong with Hinduism?

Care to elaborate on what you disagree with?

No, they've rationalized fulfilling the genetic instinct many people have for power & control over others by claiming they're only trying to help. What's truly sad is most genuinely believe this.Originally posted by: Brassman
Dang dude... She's not getting anything special out of talking to you. She genuinely cares about your salvation and wants you to hear about Christ. So, you've heard about Him now and the choice is up to you, that's that. I don't know why you hate CCC folk - all they do is care. :Q
