what you dont like pics shot a 1:1 f/2.8?

i raised it to f/8 on one of them its still small tho

but to get a DOF like you want it needs to be bigger then 20, i cant pull that off hand held with the on camera flash, in crappy house lighting

buy me a SB-800 and ill see what i can do

I have legions of those things, especially in the late summer and early fall, they get up to about 2 or 2.5" long and are faster than Michael Jackson on his way to Xiety's house for some lovin'. Oddly though, they don't really bug me much, aside from the typical 'eww' response. They seem to have won the battle with the wolf spiders, as I haven't seen one of those baddies in a few years - they used to be common here while the centipedes were rare. I'm an admitted severe arachnophobe, so will gladly take the centipedes over the spiders.

Good thing you killed it. They are known to eat entire families, as well as pets and smal farm animals. That jpg is my new background.

I'd also kill it immediately if those things were in my house. As far as I care, some centipedes are supposedly poisonous and I'm not taking a chance.

That thing is scary! You shouldn't have killed it though. You could have found a way to take it outside. It wasn't hurting you.

My friend told me his RIT apartment was infested with those things. He said they weren't bad until he found one in his bed, then it became his mission to kill them all calmly and systematically... In the end he just moved out though 😀.

use a lighter

I like to use Compressed air Upside down. It freezed them and preserves their remains.

Also, I wouldnt know if it was particularly poisonous. Might as well be safe.

Why'd you kill it? Just because it looks different?

Dunno about the OP, but I kill them for a very, very good reason. They're there.

My sister killed this one

That one is poisonest. And also you notice it's leg is shorter. The long leg one isn't poisonest.

These short legs are along the line of scorpian. They will get into shoes and stuff and if you not careful they will bite you and hospital time.

Those things are scary as hell. They grow about an inch a day too. Wait until they are like 6-inches. Scary as hell, yuck!
