I HATE BLISTER PACKAGING

I understand it protects againt theft but what the hell good is it if you cant get it off?!?

I have had a few actually cause me to bleed... they are horrible. Especially the really thick ones that they use on CD players and such. The only way to open them is with a knife or scissors. After I cut it with a knife, I use my hands to rip it.. which sometimes results in an injury. 🙁

ive never understood why you people bitch about this so much, ive never had a single issue with thinks packaged like this,

i have hands and a knife, package opens eaisly

Thas the problem i have right now... New sat radio tuner showed up in a blaster pack...

Sizzors are useless, fingers are torn to shreds, and my exacto knife is too dull to make a dent...

I think im gonna have my dog gnaw at it for awhile...

You shouldnt need a damn buckknife to open a package.

i got a blister on my foot yesterday from walking in new shoes. that sucked.

i like my leatherman wave. 🙂

Forget a buckknife, I get out my 10' commando knife. I hate that nonsense. While I can understand the point of it, what sense does it make for stuff that's displayed in a locked case anyway?

The other problem is that you destroy the package when you open it. What if you need to return it to the store? The packages with those "dimples" that fit together is much better. Once you pop those apart the rest of the package opens.

For blister packs I just use a razor blade and cut around the item. Works great.

Because not everyone has functioning hands... This kind of packaging is a nightmare to a large percentage of the population.

Actually, that's a clamshell package. 😉 Blister packs are typically vacuum-formed, and have a push-through backing. For example, OTC pills (the boxed kind), come in a blister pack.

It was just bothering me. Carry on.
