There are now 2 coming up that I'm going to have to see....

The Last Samurai and Kill Bill.

Tom Cruise has never made a decent movie excepting A Few Good Men.

Everything I've seen from Tarantino has been complete at utter crap.

...on the good side they *probably* can't be worse than Pirates of the Carribean or Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Kill bill will be the worst movie ever. They should gas the theater when people enter, as a way to speed up darwinism.

In regards to samurai I have to say I want to see it more than matrix 3!

No, I love lots of movies.

Just based on my tastes there are certain actors/directors I have learned to avoid.

Sometimes things draw me back, but still go awry. For example, John Woo and Minority Report. I love John Woo, but hate Cruise. This film turned out to be crappy.

Any Julia Roberts film (except for PW). Blech...

The only decent Julia Roberts film was Ocean's Eleven

PS...what do you hate about Pulp Fiction?

Like all Tarantino crap, it's excessive and pointless violence with no redeeming qualities.

Probably everything anyone else likes about it.

Tom Cruise is a tool though, anything moving with him in it is invevitably all about him, and Cruise as a samuri? yeah right, i just hope they don't try to pass him off as japanese.

I no longer want to see any movie with Ben Affleck. Wait...did I ever want to see one with him in it before? No.

Just because he makes unusual movies?

The whole plot of the movie is that Cruise's character is a gaijin sent to train Japanese armies in the ways of Western warfare.

John Woo didn't direct Minority Report. Are you thinking of Mission Impossible 2 (which John Woo did direct, and in my opinion, WAS awful)?

Steven Spielberg directed Minority Report and it was a decent movie.

the big question is:

will there be a scene where cruise gets mad/sad and runs down the street?

i know there will be, because it happens in all of his movies.

Unusually good movies. Reservoir Dogs, a classic. Pulp Fiction, another classic -- one of the best movies I've ever seen. Four Rooms, another fantastic movie. Jackie Brown, another classic.

I've yet to see a bad movie from Tarantino.

I thought that Kill Bill was his 4th...? Res and pulp are agreeably interesting movies. Jackie brown was a let down...not heard of four rooms.

Hmm. Well to each their own. IMO, The entertainment value of many Tom Cruise movies is worth the rental fee. The odds are good I'll enjoy the movie if the trailor grabs my attention. I didn't see vanilla sky or magnolia. The rest I've probably seen and enjoyed. I'm not sure if I'll see samari, that one looks like it'd be a bad fit for him but I'll wait and see what most folks say.

I agree though, I hate watching movies with those people that irk me, Whoopie Goldberg for example. I generally DON'T watch them, but sometimes I'll get stuck. Rarer still I'll enjoy the movie. Can't think of any off the top of my head but it has happened.

There are four parts to Four Rooms. Each had different writers and directors.

Tanantino directed the last one called: The Man From Hollywood.
