Every stinking time the weather changes my joints start hurting. It's frustrating. It's bad enough I screwed up both of my knees in separate incindents, but it sucks even worse when the weather gets bad and my joints start hurting. My knees are killing me right now. It's just darned frustrating. Oh well. Suck it up and drive on. (*downs couple of advil to ease the pain*)

Damn, I hate to tell you, but it only gets worse as the years go by. Uh, on a positive note, you may find you get a little more relief with Naprosyn.

Tried it. Doctor perscribed it to me and it perty thuroughly screwed up my balance for a few days. It has something to do with the way my body processes chemicals. He was even confused about it. Oh well, I guess I got one of those bodies with a wierd chemical makeup. Heck, would you believe that Caffeine is a freaking sedative to me??

Learn Yoga, I have in the past have had eight fingers sewn back on, plastic knee caps and enough joint damage for several people, the only thing that works for me is regular stretching and a 1/2 an hour of deep knee bends on a daily basis, this works well (In my case anyway) if you stick to it.

Hmm, sounds like it's time to update my morning Kata then. Or might append this onto the end of my Tai Chi session. I'll give it a try. My joints only hurt when the weather changes, but hey, this may be good all around.

Yikes! :Q Are your fingers functioning pretty well now? Nerves grown back, etc.?

Very little loss of funtion, large loss of feeling, this is the hazards of working on motor-vehiles all your life, you learn to live with it.

WTH happened? Did the car fall on you?

This happened over twenty five years, some were severed from fan blades, some from falling engines/trannies/axles, and some from tools I work with, it's really no big deal except for how they look.

Note to self: Skip working on vehicles as next career path...

But seriously, I know what you mean. Worked in a shop the last twenty-five years and I was ever conscious of the safety aspect of working around those machines. Our shop fared pretty well until the last few years when we had a spat of accidents. Ugh...

It's really all not that bad Ornery, it just sounds bad, in reality I feel fine and have no loss of pleasures in my life from it, as you grow older you learn to ignore and work around certain discomforts, it certainly has not stopped me from what I love doing, working on cars :)

I think I'll concentrate on learning how to enjoy life more, instead of worrying about careers, buying stuff and paying bills. Then, I can skate along in a stress free job, and smell the roses once in a while, eh? ;)

So can you tell if there is going to be some sort of natural disaster?

No any semi-large changes in weather (Barometric pressure rising or falling as when storms arrive) will cause pressure build up within the joint(s) which in turn causes pain and discomfort.

My joints don't do it.

My head does.

You my friend have plugged or partially restricted eustrachian tubes.

These tubes are passages that permit air to travel between your middle ear and nasal passages. If these become plugged or restricted pressure builds up and causes discomfort and pain.

Oh gads. I used to have freaking migranes as a kid when the weather would change. Called them sinus headaches and boy, would the pain stop you dead in your tracks. That's since been cured by a very nasty virus I had one day. My problem now is the passage is TOO big. But at least it doesn't take much to equalize the preasure in my ears. :D
