I've had allergies pretty much all of my life. I've also had pets in the house all my life. After going away to college my allergies have been barely noticable. As soon as I come home BAM, my allergies are back. Apparently I'm allergic to my cat. However now that I've been away for 8 months it seems like I've become MORE allergic to my cat. To the point that I can't even pet her now without washing my hands after, because if I touch my face my eyes will get red and itchy and I will start sneezing.
How could this be? Had I somehow built up a slight immunity to my cat, which I now lost after being away for 8 months??? This sucks because I can't even sleep. My eyes have gotten really itchy and I can't breathe. I just took allergy medicine to stop the itching. I'm back home for 3 weeks I don't know how I'm going to make it. I guess I'll just have to take allergy medication every night for the next 3 weeks.
