my lil brother from VA is flying in and the plane was "damaged in flight" and he's supposed to be bankrolling my boozin.........

i hate you airplanes, i hate you all....:|
 
are you saying his flight was delayed? or cancelled? you are upset he isn't arriving as scheduled?
you want he should get onto a broken airplane and then crash?
 
details aren't clear yet, he hasn't called back yet. apparently it wasn't something too terribly bad but they are making him spend my birthday in Tennessee if iirc. he'll arrive but too late to do much. but yossarian, i'll let ya know as soon as i find out.

apparently a bird strike or something....

he caught a quick flight to DFW, so it shouldn't be too much longer now. i hope.
 
American Airlines prop plane operated by American Eagle. He doesn't remember the flight number as they gave him a new boarding pass. I was wrong, he was stuck at DFW not TN. I was getting all the early reports through other family members. But they are just saying that they can't give refunds for "acts of god," so there is no official word on what exactly happened.
 
Damn..I could get an exact reason if it was on AA mainline. Maybe if you can figure out the flight #, I'll still try.

I'm guessing it was an ATR 72? Or SAAB 340?
