I still haven't tried it. I see it all over the place and see other people with it, but I've always been kind of turned off by anything that has the word "water" in it, and isn't just pure water.

Admittedly, I also enjoy the different brands of "Vitamin Water," but when a 20oz bottle is $1.50, and I can get a 64oz bottle of PowerAde for $0.69, I choose the latter. :)

Vitamin Water rocks. Way better than Gatore or all the other Vitamin Water wannabees out there.

I refuse to even try it because of the annoying commercials (the ones where some guy screeches a stupid scenario and then "Try it!" at the end). Not to mention, why do they have Scrubs, Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, and some others doing ads for it (well Scrubs is just product placement)?

So does it taste like Gatorade with less sugar (meaning you can actually taste that it doesn't have as much sugar)? If so, I won't even bother as Gatorade tastes watered down to me. Powerade tastes a lot better (well the red one does, don't really drink any of the others) to me and it only has a little bit more sugar.

Its a happy medium for me. It is not as watery as Gatorade and not as sweet as actual juice.

It's basically flavored water with a small dose of vitamins tossed in for kicks and the resulting gimmick. Better for you then drinking a Coke or any of the other HFCS containing beverages, but nothing really that special.

3 brilliant people:

genius #1: lets put water in a bottle and charge more than gasoline
genius #2: lets put water in a bottle, market it as "premium", and charge it 2x more than "regular" water
genius #3: the plain water market is saturated. lets put just a BIT of sugar in it, and vitamins, and fill a new niche

Does no one else taste the ridiculouly chalky flavor in every Vitamin Water flavor?

All I can taste is sweet flavor then chalky vitamins.

I never said that he wasn't already wealthy, but the Coca-Cola buy-out gave him many times what he already had.

Not free. If you had used the qualifier 'practically', you would have been correct.
