When I got out of the shower today, I noticed my whole upper body, from the waist to the lower neck and shoulders (but not past the elbow or so) was full of red blotches. They did not seem to be raised. I've been pretty itchy lately too, especially my back, but I thought it was just from having dry skin which I have always had.

I thought about it for a minute and realized the area affected is pretty much where I normally spray on AXE TWIST body spray after a shower before I put on a shirt. I've used AXE sprays off and on for years but have never had any issue, but come to think of it, I believe this is the first I've used the "TWIST" kind and it's coinciding with this frickin itchiness.

I'm thinkin maybe the rash is due to the AXE body spray? I'm going to stop using it for a few days and see if anything changes. It's either the AXE... or... the AIDS.

So has anyone else ever gotten a rash from a body spray before?

This is a distinct possibility. Another may be that the shirt you wore leached out some chemical that you had a reaction to. Is it a new shirt? It could be a combination of the two. Try a test spray of the spray on the palmar surface of one wrist in a few days.

That said, call me old fashion, hell call me just fucking old, but whats with these body sprays for men? Isnt soap and antiperspirant enough?

This, tbfh. No heterosexual guy should be using any product labeled as a "body wash" or "body spray". Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with young people today?

Things to check:
1) Your laundry detergent. You may have to switch to a fragrance free type. All Free works well.
2) Your soap. You may have to switch to a gentle soap like Dove for Sensitive Skin (not really soap, a detergent bar)
3) Axe
4) Your pit stick

I had to switch away from Tide and real soap (I really like Kirk's Natural too) or I ended up with rashes over a good part of my upper torso. Even Tide Free is too harsh.
