If you had to google "Howard Stern" to find out who he was, I guess he's no longer "the king of all media."

Well... At least they succeeded in taking a horrible situation and making it all about them so.... Kudos?

I think he only does his show maybe once a week now, if that. He's 60 so will probably be retiring soon. Pretty clear he's approaching the end of his career. Yet Scott Greenstein and the other Sirius execs keep tossing his salad like he's a living god. Wish I got a $100 million show budget to do basically nothing all day.

Was pretty amusing the first time he said it many years ago I thought myself.

Wasn't paying attention to him even then at the time personally.

Would be on par with looking up the OJ hearings these days or something I guess.

Heh, NM I see someone mentioned OJ all ready.

I didn't know he still had a career, they still feeding him money ?

Is pretty pathetic right there.

About like Rush.

And yet it is still the best show in the history of radio.

I just wish Bubba the Love Sponge was still on howard 101.

Well, it is pretty clear who actually knows something about Howard Stern and who is just talking out their ass in this thread. :whiste:

Howard Stern is putting out the best radio of his career and has been... well, since he started in radio more than 30 years ago. To keep the bar raised that high for so long is simply unheard of in radio. His interviews are just amazing, he could take a slab of meat and make it interesting. Where else in ANY form of media could you sit down and do a 1 hour+ long uninterrupted interview and talk candidly about pretty much any subject at all? Howard is probably one of the best at connecting with his guests and listening to him interview people is a privilege. He is worth every penny Sirius pays him and he is basically the ONLY reason I subscribe.

He had Jeff Bridges on about a week or so ago. Great interview. They talked about his career (Jeff's), his family, how he approaches roles and directors, The Big Lewbowski, Iron Man, it was fascinating. Howard is having Neil Young in studio in a couple weeks, can't wait for that.

Check out his Birthday bash video. Great bands, tons of celebrities came out to be a part of it, Jimmy Kimmel hosted. What a tribute to the King of All Media.

Does great interviews but not a fan of his ego. Drowning out opposing viewpoints? Might as well watch Fox News.

Biggest and likely the best radio guy ever. But remember radio is tv and movies little brother. So I could see how someone young wouldn't know about him.

there is that and if you didn't know who he was before he moved to sat radio, chances are you would never discover him

also personally I don't understand how people can listen to talk radio in general

Not sure if some of these are directed at me but let me just clarify what I have been getting at.

He is a nobody outside the USA maybe Canadians might know who he is but the rest of the world doesn't have a clue.

Do you guys know who Jeremy Vine or Steve Wright are? No I thought not.
