....British. I mean, the man's got nice teeth, who'da thunk it.

Seriously though. When I heard him give his acceptance speech the other night on the SAG awards show I did a double take. He even made a joke about "sounding British" as if most people didn't know. I feel bad too because I felt like I was a big fan of his before everyone jumped on the House bandwagon.

I loved his acting in Stuart Little. I know that's odd, but the dude just had crazy charismatic, even in that flick. When I saw his House character for the first time I was taken back by how much of a polar opposite it was from his other character.

Is there anything else he's been in that I should really see?

House really is my idol.

When I'm his age I can only hope to be as cynical and addicted to pain pills as he is. ;)

A lot of House fans not only are unaware that he was a famous British actor before House, but that he's famous for broad and silly comedy (think Monty Python) not drama.

The Black Adder series was great. I've also seen a little of "A bit of Fry and Laurie" and it was pretty funny.

Yeah, he's very well accomplished even without considering his recent accolades...and his SAG speech was a reference to Eddie Murphy, who started his acceptance speech with an english accent and then commented about how everybody sounds so smooth as long as they have an English accent.

Yay, someone agrees with me. Sweet vindication... My friends love the show but I was put off just by the trailers.

I knew he was British and have seen the Black Adder series. He is a great actor. Amazing how on House you can never tell He is from the UK.

It's a good thing Scrubs and House don't come on at similar times. Id be torn. I love House but I like Scrubs for it's medical humor but John McGinley as Perry Cox is priceless.

He was in an episode of Friends(the one where Racheal flies to England for Ross's wedding) and his accent was extremely noticeable.
