And they didn't even test me on anything. They just had me read a line from the eye chart. I guess they are more lenient than they used to be. No wonder there are so many bad drivers on the road.

In Massachusetts, you can renew by mail every other time. I renewed mine my mail this year, so i will have to go down to the Dept. Of Motor Vehicles when it expires for next time and do it in person. I guess all states are different.

so what exactly are "normal" renewals suppose to be like? The only time I've heard of having to do say another road test was if you reached a certain age.

But yeah... if you wear contacts, you can get away w/ saying you don't need glasses to drive. altho, it's kind of pointless to drive illegally w/o glasses....

driving tests in my area are jokes. What's even sadder is that some of my friends actually failed these things the first time around.

Personally, I previously could renew w/o a paper test, but this time around, I had 4 points on my driving record, so I had to come in for the written portion. They only made me do one side and the questions were so easy, it was in and out.

I think the ones that have problems with the written portion of the test are idiots or don't understand English. The driving test is where you filter out some bad drivers, but anyone can drive under the speed limit, stop at a stop sign, and park properly...

Well, I am turning 21 Friday so I need a new one that doesn't say, "Under 21."
