I don't know why those Vikings were so angsty. Seriously, you're drinking alcoholic honey, how mad can you be? Just have a few glasses and all is right with the world...
 
I only have had mead a couple of times from the same winery. The stuff tasted like something rancid that had gone way off.
 
Honey meade is good. A bit sweet for more than a glass or two, but it makes a nice desert wine.
 
My ex-roommate use to dabble in making alcohol and at times mead. Sadly he and his partner were quite bad at it so the results always tasted weird. Still, it was some reasonably potent stuff so it got the job done.
 
I had mead once, and it will probably be the last time. That was just seriously gross to me, and I drink some dark/heavy stuff ...
 
Had some sweet honey meade. It was potent stuff, but too sweet to sit there and knock back 3 or more.
I liked it though! :thumbsup:
