QFT.

I love "girly" drinks. They taste good.

I also like other stuff.

Actually, I rarely drink.

Amaretto Sours are girly drinks, it's true. But it's one of my favorite drinks  They're delicious and I order them all the time. There have been a couple times when I've asked my girlfriend to order one for me. I was in vegas a couple weeks ago, and thats all I was drinking in the casinos.

mmm

Ameretto and sour mix is the only thing that I actually keep on hand in the fridge....they are damn good. Sure, I think it is a "girly" drink by social standards, but it's not that big of a deal. Just don't get caught drinking one at a bar or a frat keg party, and you're fine.

They also serve Manhattans with a cherry and that is NOT a girly drink.
Who cares what its served with or made out of? If you like it, drink it, and if you need to prove you are a man after that, burp and fart at the same time then grunt if you need to.

I got the same thing the first (and last) time I ordered a long island iced tea. I think I was 22.

Then again, I ordered a 6 oz filet in a restaurant in Cape Town and got the response, "Oh, you'll be having the ladie's cut?"

I'm 6'5" :|

Hell, when I make an ameretto sour at home, I always keep a jar of maschino (sp?) cherries in the fridge also. I don't put a cherry in my drink, though, I just pour some of the juice into my drink, and it makes it taste that much better.

Well... I think what tends to make a drink "girly" is the choice of alcohol and other presentation factors. Me? I drink whiskey sours all the time. No umbrella or garnishes just Jack, sour, a splash of OJ, and ice. I don't think they're girly at all.

I drink Dubonnet and have heard it called a girlie drink also.

Dubonnet is a French wine based aperitif, but it is also produced in other parts of the World. It come in two styles:

Dubonnet Blanc, aka. Dubonnet Blond or White Dubonnet, is a dry. It is made by adding herbs and botanicals to a fortified white wine.

Dubonnet Rouge, aka. Red Dubonned, is red-wine based and flavored with spices and hints of quinine. It is also sweeter and richer than Dubonnet Blanc.
