Oh, and I'm definitely not giving him a break due to the seizure. That's serious shit, and he shouldn't be driving at all. I'd rather be surrounded by people on drugs than people that randomly lose consciousness. ;) lol

Yes, which is kinda my point. Both can make you unfit to drive, but most people who take them, you know.. need get to get to work. They wouldn't ever think of themselves as "being on drugs", and you most likely wouldn't either, though they most certainly are.

Only an idiot would consider taking vicodan as NOT being on drugs...although, IF the person has a prescription, at least they're not on illegal/illicit drugs...driving under the influence of vicodan is just as illegal as driving under the influence of alcohol or pot or heroin or...even benadryl can be enough to get a DUI ticket...it's about the level of impairment. (although, being even slightly under the influence of an illegal drug may get you busted.)

Glad no one got hurt except your car. Time to give your keys away and prevent any such problems ever again.

I agree. Just saying.

Have you ever heard of a case where someone was given a DUI because they had an open box of benadryl in their car?

:p

Pretty much the reason I don't believe the OP's story is 100% the truth. And, any sane person who just had a seizure and wrecked their vehicle doesn't get back into the driver's seat until they know wtf is wrong with them/is it going to happen again? The law is barely necessary, except to stop the most idiotic of people from driving again so soon after experiencing a seizure.

OP, you and Zane didn't get together and decide to take turns or something, did you?

Well he didn't lay off marijuana for a drug test either. So either he's very stupid or trolling.

My cousin started having random seizures and they eventually found out he had some parasite from contaminated pork. I forget the name but perhaps you should have yourself checked out.

yeah, some serious shit. All this happend because i forgot to take my meds one night. I have forgotten to take my meds before but i just got real nauseous and faint, but i have never gone that long without taking my medicine.

The police saw it was because of the medicine and there not taking away my license, they did however impound my car(which had my itouch and iphone, both mysteriously stolen) and charge my $25x.00 to get it out.

Sucks about your electronics. Towing's a fuckin' scam. The municipalities contract with certain garages, and there's no accountability when your car gets towed. If there's anything expensive inside, you can assume the driver stole it when he towed your car, and you have no recourse for compensation :^S

yeah it sucks just bought a new iphone 4 the week before, and had a 32gb touch stolen. the sad thing is they had to look for it cause my ipod hookup for my car is under neath the center console, they also took about $10 worth of singles sitting in my centerconsole along with my radar detector and gps . all missing when i went to pickup my car from impound. they made out like bandits.

First, smoking pot doesn't impare your driving ability. Second, he never said he was smoking pot while he was getting his pizza. Finally, while I don't condone it, smoking pot really doesn't affect you as much as being really hammered would.

First, you're an idiot. Second, driving a car really baked isn't any more safe than driving a car really drunk. Impaired is impaired. Finally, you're an idiot.

how does your clutch get "burnt" from an accident?

you hit the barrier, and your car stalls. the engine cuts off.

did the seizure have your left leg constantly stomping up and down?

Not sure what state the OP lives in...but in the states that require notification of DMV for "lapse of consciousness" disorders, the cops have no say in whether the person loses his license or not...the cops aren't the ones who "take his license," nor do they have anything to do with the decision...it's entirely up to the DMV.
