About 20 people came over to my place for my birthday/Hanukkah party (including EvilYoda). I start the night with one case of Dos Equis and small amounts of Skyy and Stoli. Now I have about equal number of beers (thanks to Yoda), and most of the Stoli remains, and I added a full bottle of Absolut and a half bottle of Absolut Pear..I think I was the only one drinking 😛 Still have some pizza and enough grated potatoes to make a giant hashbrown..all in all a fun night as I turned a quarter of a century old.
 
My last party somebody left some gin that will just sit there as nobody in my house drinks it, and some bacardi
 
Did you end up just passing out on the ottoman that we left you on? 😛 Don't worry about the alcohol, we'll help you with that.
 
invited over usual crowd + coworkers for my bday this year. one friend brought 5 6-packs of good beer, coworkers brought bottles of Vodka, Tequila & Soco. Very pleasantly surprised (I did request no gifts). Of course, it all get distributed back to everyone so i think it works out in the end.
 
We end up with the same thing and we're teatotalers. The beer we use for brats, gin for preserving lichens, and the rest gets tossed.

Despite going to grown up parties, I still have to sit at the "Kiddie" table when my family all gets together...

my friends are cheap they just chip in to buy one bottle and clean out the rest of my alcohol. always a net loss for me

That means they hosted the party with crappy beer, everyone brought their own since they supplied the cheap shit.
