I had a classic bonehead moment with my wife

We were in the car yesterday when my wife said "Dear, this really depresses me, take a look." She handed me her drivers license photo from when we got married and her newest license. I looked and explained that she looks wonderful and that new picture's just bad because she was still preggers with our twins.

Well, I guess I should have put some thought into that, because our twins are a year old now and she just got her new license 2 weeks ago. DAMMMNNNN that didn't work out well for me.

Anyone else in the doghouse this weekend??

Edit: For the record, she's not fat. The pic was just unflattering and more zoomed in to her face. She's just got crappy self esteem right now since she's not as skinny as she was before the pregnancy. Of course it's too late for too explain that to her now :(

Yup, you qualify for the bonehead award. Do something nice and sweet for her within the next few days. Make dinner, or give her some time away from the kids for a nice bubble bath. You'll be okay little doggy:p

She's getting ready to go shopping now (big spring splurge), and I stayed home last night so she could go out with a friend from work. I'm crawling out of the hole, but this was an expensive mistake.

anytime she asks about her appearance, you might as well starting putting blankets in the dog house, because there is no way out.

If you'd said it at the right time, I would have told her to get over herself. Nothing wrong with looking pregnant when you are pregnant.

Being off by a year, though...ouch. That not thinking thing, it's rough on us men. I can't seem to break loose of it.

My wife looks better now even though she's pregnant, with our second kid to boot. Then again, in those times past, she was dating bone-head moocher losers, now she's married to me :D....step up for her. Oh, and breast feeding is apparantly the best diet ever, cause she eats twice what I do and she can't keep the weight on, I can't get it off :(

That's true, you find yourself trapped because no matter what you say they usually take it wrong.
