so last night i was told to go and dig a trench for two main line pipes for the sprinkler system they are putting in at my bosses house. the sprinkler guys are supposed to be there at 8 (normal time for people to start showing up)... i figure i'll be there at 6 to get it all done and the pipe layed down (wasen't a long trench, about 2500' long w/ two 4" pvc lines, pretty much a straight shot with a few small bends)
i get there, hop in the cab of the only bobcat we have (new holland ls170, the other two are in for service) unhook the bucket and am driving across the property to pick up the trencher attachment... i'm about halfway there, in the middle of traffic area, and it dies on me. now this normally wouldn't have been a big deal. but i had the boom up about 1.5' so it was keeping the door from opening.
so there i am, 15 min into the work day, parked directly into the morning sun, which was also directly into the wind, so i couldn't take advanatge of the small breeze
... sitting till about 750 till someone showed up. it took about 1 hour to figure out how to get the door out (because of the way it was positioned they couldn't just open it a bit and pop it off, and they couldn't just take the bolts that hold the hinges on and pull it off. around 9 i was finally out.
later find out it was a starter relay and an ignition relay that went out.
pretty sweet huh?
