Heaven forbid someone stand up for what they believe in.

You're exactly right, damnit! Starting tomorrow I'm going to shovel politics down the throat of every person trying to buy some freedom fries at mcdonalds.

This would deserve a thread entirely to itself, but let me save you some time. We'll argue, I'll present logical arguments, you'll counter with some fictional answers and in the end, your mind won't be changed and you'll be left with your cute little reply you've been trained to answer everytime you run out of answers, "You just gotta believe."

I'm telling you, I just did you and I a big favor. I saved us both some valuable time.

Well, that's a shame...

One comment though. I don't "just believe" in God. Faith is more than just believing that God exists. It's trusting Him in every aspect of your life, daily. Trusting that He loves you, and always has what is best for you in mind.

So when you say that God doesn't exist, it's hard to know how to respond. Not because it's something illogical that's not defendable, but because it's hard for me to fathom how you can go through your whole life, missing out completely on the only thing that really matters.

It's easy to mock God, and talk down to people who believe in Him when your stomach is full and you're sitting in an air conditioned room. But the majority of people in this world experience real suffering, and have no one but God to comfort them.

How many of us are doing anything about their pain? And yet we complain about God's compassion...

Maybe it will take a jolt to open your eyes. It did for me. Sometimes before we suffer a little and our securities are shaken, we won't ever really take the time to honestly seek God. Remember the quote... there are no atheists in foxholes.
So all the Russians turned to Christianity in WWII? Remember this quote, Christians are the only ones that believe that quote.

Lol, this story kinda reminds me of a time me and a friend were driving through the NJ Turnpike. At a toll, the tollbooth lady (an old woman) looked at us (we are Indian) and said "Jesus Loves Everyone" as we were driving off.

I kind of chuckled because I could care less, but my friend took offense and screamed "F**K YOU F**KFACE!" As you can imagine, I laughed even harder at my friend.

To this day, I have no idea where he got F**KFACE from.
