She wasn't a big girl so I was shocked at how much food she was piling onto her plate. It look like a giant funnel cake. I was surprised she was able to stack it up that high. She barely finished half before setting it aside.

Oh, if you never been to a Mongolian BBQ place it's where you choose your own ingredients (vegetables, noodles, meat...ect) and they fry it over a grill.

You gotta stack it high because it all cooks down to about 25% of the original volume.

BTW, I love Mongolian BBQ, but I've never been to one in the Western Hemisphere. Do they let you go back over and over again, or is it a one or two trip thing in the US?

depends on the place... in boston one of the most popular places is all you can eat. couple of them in jersey is per bowl (so you have to try to stack it as high as possible).

here in manhattan it's by weight

Good GOD I love mongolian BBQ. I only go there when I'm starving though so I can abuse the place as much as I can. Bowl after bowl! If only they had one of those places near me when I was in college. Coming out of swim practice and going to one of those things? I know a couple of people (including myself!) that would probably run a place like that out of business...but it would be SOO GOOD!

Good thing I don't go to those all the time though- fast train to fats-ville!

Yes I know that but she plainly over did it. My associate could eat and he got a pretty good size plate. Her plate was twice the size of his.

There's a place around here that lets you stack by bowl. It's hiiiiiiilarious to watch people stack these bowls like 8-10" tall with food. Works well though for being a cheap ass and just buying one bowl and sharing it with two people.
