I guess Romney is really surging in Ohio.

Nate Silver's weighting isn't as important as some people seem to think. His blog today shows how all 7 poll aggregators - himself and 6 others - have averaged out the battleground state polling. The differences are not terribly significant. Silver isn't even the most O leaning of all the aggregators, and not even the most R leaning has Romney down in OH by less than 2 points.

The hell he can't. The way he weights polls he can do whatever he desires.

But the weighting itself is not variable. The polls themselves would have to swing else you are just saying he makes the numbers whatever he wants them to be which is absurd and delusional.

lol! nice.

I wish I can do that with my checking account :)

- You have $99,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999.5372947833244 in your checking account.
- There is a 0% chance that the above is right.
- Therefore, the amount in your checking account aligns with "Romney will win" because it's uncertain for Obama.

I look at the list of states where Romney is winning and find it funny that I would never want to live in them save maybe a few parts of Montana and Colorado. Fly over states indeed.

And the fly-over states breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Some things really are much, much worse than an Obama Presidency.

I also find it odd that the majority of the Red or Romney states, are the states that accept more federal dollars than the population pays in taxes. Most of the Blue or Obama States, actually pay more out in Federal Taxes than the state receives in federal dollars.

Its funny who the welfare moochers really are.

Actually makes sense, more densely populated areas see government more than rural people do.

For example in my city we're building a light rail network. I can now take that to the airport, and down the street they've been working on a new station for years to connect to the northern part of the city. Everyday I see these workers and the progress and it is government staring right at me--and I don't see it as a negative. Similarly, I go out on the lake and their building a new bridge that will also have rail. Progress is all around me, and in this sense "progress" is being defined by the government.

Compare that to when I've lived in rural areas. I've got roads, police, and the basics. But the citizens are not required to do things together as often, government plays a much smaller role in such an environment. Any big projects are done far away in a state capitol or at the federal level. Government is more something that takes a cut of your paycheck than something you interact with daily.

Romney surging in Ohio... is that like the surge right after the water level rises in the porcelain bowl, and the contents surge thru the trap?

There's no liberal running, so I think you're in luck.

Oh wait... you think Obama is liberal.

Heh.

I laugh every time I hear that.

But I don't laugh as loud as when I hear people claim that there is a "left" in this country.

ROFL.

Thank god we have less than a week of this bullshit left. Then maybe a few weeks of gloating and crying and we can get back to the everyday bashing and apologizing. Only thing left to be determined is who is going to be doing the bashing and who is going to be doing the apologizing.
