I ordered the components for a new PC. One of my suppliers has been having the 'bright' idea of using a large box, sticking the boxed case in that box, then the rest of the components with a bit of polystyrene in between (them and the case), except this time it didn't really work.
I found the memory module out of its box and wedged in between two bits of cardboard which were part of the insides of the outer box.
I would have thought that the potential physical shocks of being thrown around in a delivery van without very much protection, or a bit of static buildup would have knackered the memory. I'll test it more thoroughly than I normally would do for a new memory module, but still, surprising.
