I guess I'm too fast on the Start button (Windows irk)

Anyone else get this? I use the Start button to get to the program menu quite a bit, I click the Start button and start moving the mouse up. Apparently I'm moving up as I release the mouse button, and I get the Shutdown dialog screen. Rrrrrrrrgh!

Tell me I'm not the only one!

If you want to increase your speed just hit the Windows key before your mouse is over there and then it will be waiting for you to select something. I just use the quick launch instead.

Well, they are right about you releasing too slowly. You press down on the mouse, the start menu comes up, you move the cursor up, then release the button - by this time, the start menu is up, and the cursor is over the Turn Off Computer option. WinXP is doing exactly what you're telling it. ;)
Or just cranial rectosis. :D

I thought the same thing. With WinXP thats hard to do since Shutdown is on the other end. I betcha if you played FPS games more it would cure you of the problem ;) Split second twitch movements and reactions will help train ya.
