I guess I missed the W7 half-price preorder?

Stupid me. I just realized my netbook has a legal copy of Window XP Home (my desktop has a corp copy I use thru my work) , so my netbook is/was eligible for the half price upgrade.

Is it over? Can I still buy it at half price somewhere?
 
It's over in the U.S. It appears there'll be a three-license "Family Pack" with three W7 Home Premium upgrade licenses for $150 at some point.
 
There is also still uncertainty about how restrictive the Window 7 Upgrade process will be (i.e. what hoops will you have to jump through to do a clean install of Windows 7 w/ the Upgrade media). If the process is as simple as the two time install for Windows Vista Upgrade, it's not a big problem, but if you have to have a previous version of Windows installed to get the Windows 7 Upgrade to authenticate with MS's license server then that is a PITA.
 
That's why I kept an image of my XP Pro install just in case. With Acronis I can put it back on rather quickly.
