But why does it all have to happen at once!!!!

In addition to the various things I need, I must now add new computer speakers. My Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 Digitals have seemed to finally bite the dust. I do not know how they compare to others, but I thought the sound from them was excellent. Anyway, can someone recommend good 5.1 if not, 4.1 speakers for around $100? I was thinking about the Inspire 5.1 5300 since they seem to run around $70 and supposedly fit in nicely with my SoundBlaster Live X-Gamer 5.1.

I can sit here all night and look at speakers so I really need some help. I was scanning the Sunday Ads and found 3 Speaker Sets. CompUsa has the Inspire 5300 for $70, Best Buy has the Altec Lansing 251 for $100 and Amazon has these Yamaha TSS-1B for $127. The Yamaha's really interest me since they seem to have more options.

Any ideas, I'm completely clueless...

Yeah it would be since my spending probably exceeds my income by 10:1.

Well, I finally got lucky and my existing speakers work. Reset all the wired connections, reinstalled all soundcard drivers and screwed around with settings.

What a relief since I really didn't want to replace my Digital speakers with sub-par ones. Now I have some time to save up incase they really do blow out... :)

Thanks for all your feedback...
