I gotta drop someone off at the SF airport on friday...

I gotta drop someone off at the SF airport so they can catch a flight at noon, they expect to be there at 10AM. But I'm coming from Placerville. Anyone have any idea what time I should leave to get there on time? (I'll probably be going through both Sacramento and bay area rush hours)

First off, they should have flown out of Oakland Intl, before SFO. You are going to hate that drive to SFO from Pacerville, and I don't care what route you take. (used to live in marin and work in SF)

Traffic in the city isn't that bad once you pay your toll on the Bay Bridge. I drive from Davis to Burlingame/Milbrae/SFO area all the time and it takes about 2 hrs 30 min, if there are no accidents.

From Placerville to Davis is probably going to take you another 1 hour and 15-30 min, so doing the math, the trip takes 4 hours in morning traffic.

If you leave at 6 AM from Placerville, you'll be in the Sacramento area about 7 AM and traffic isn't bad yet. You'll be in Davis about 7:15-7:20 and from there, another 2.5 - 3 hours. Good luck.
