My father-in-law was in a bad accident, and died five days later, as a result of his injuries. It was my busiest week of the year at work, and I spent it at the hospital. My boss had to take all my phone calls while I was gone, and then she informed me that I was getting paid for the time off. I don't even have to give up any of my vacation time for the year.

How cool is that?
