i got two evga 7900gs KO's, why did i get two different part numbers?

no, everything looks the same, even the packaging.

you got two different part numbers because they are two different parts. the question is, did you get two different model numbers?

im trying to tell you that you had the model numbers in the OP. you have different cards, and the 624 does not support HDCP.

edit: are you sure the 2nd number isnt 624-AR? i couldnt find a 24-AR


624-AR - supports HDCP

i dont actually know the answer to your question, i was just trying to help. it seems the answer is some do, and some dont, but im certainly not an authority on the subject. there isnt much info on your second model number, so it is hard to tell. you could always try something with HDCP and see if it works.
