I got the most BS parking ticket ever

Parked last night around 11pm on the street because the lot was full. I looked around. I saw the meter which expired at 6PM. Long past. Safe right?

Street sweeping day says Friday morning, so I'm good.

I come back at 2AM (Now it's Saturday) and I get a ticket that says I wasnt supposed to park there because of the sign.

I read the sign carefully again:

NO PARKING
MON. WED. FRI.
12 AM - 3 AM
Street Sweeping

It's Saturday 2AM now and you're ticketing me for parking there on a FRIDAY night (starting 11PM), when street sweeping says FRI 12 - 3 AM? THe ticket even says 1:37 AM 7/22/06, and last time I checked 7/22/06 is a Saturday.

Wow. BS. Technically, 12AM = Saturday, so that's not a Fri 12 - 3AM deal. How the hell are you supposed to know that? If it said 11PM - 3AM, I could understand not to park there on Friday night, but this is outrageous.

Either change your damn signs so they have proper dates on them or start ticketing people at the right time.

Hopefully it works this time. Last time I was at a meter and I found my car broken into. My cell was dead and so I had to run out to a store to call the cops, and then they gave me a fvcking parking ticket. I can't exactly get into my car when there's glass all over the place so I can get coins... They didn't let me go. Oh well.

I can see how the sign can be misleading because one can interpret it as Friday night, but technically speaking friday 12am - 3am means friday morning, not after Friday night.

I never knew meter maids worked past midnight ><

It was probably the street sweeper...

OP - midnight is part of BOTH days, so it could be interpreted as (Friday 12:00 a.m.) - ([implied] Saturday 3:00 a.m.). Obviously it is ambiguous.
