is it suppose to be a 900? And 100x9 ?
The multiplier is based off the 100Mhz clock rate for the FSB not the DDR-effective speed...

Hey, my Athlon TBird also for some reason reports 2399MHz instead of 2400MHz as it suppose to be. What is up with that ?

I was thinking that as well 9x100,anyway does that board have jumpers check they are right I would be very ,very surprised if you are running 199x9 that would be a new record for FSB on a Athlon, anyway try updating the Bios,I presume it`s not overclocked but giving you that false CPU clock reading.

I only got to 1791MHz to but then I switched out my 300watt power supply and replaced it with my 900watt power supply and everything is working fine now. You should see how fast the cards move after I win a game of solitaire. Man is it fast :D

Also try resetting the CMOS ,see if that brings the CPU reading back to the normal.

Hey guys, check this out:

My Abit KT7 + Duron @ 2.6ghz (1)

My Abit KT7 + Duron @ 2.6ghz (2)

BTW, these are not edited pics - Actual desktop .bmp screenshots converted to .jpg

That was a real fun bug. I couldn't reproduce it at all it only happened once. It wasn't just a bug in the programs I used either. I checked motherboard monitor and the two cpuid programs in the screenshots and they all said I was running at 2.6ghz when I was only supposed to be at 1ghz. My guess is a bug in the via monitoring chip for whatever reason.
