I got stopped in a spot check!!

I was getting on to the Brooklyn bridge heading towards Manhattan. There was a police roadblock (kinda), and they were pulling over random cars. I got pulled over, license, reg, insurance card, the whole bit. It inconvenienced me, but Im not in the slightest bit upset about it. I think it's great that they're doing what they can to protect us.

Glad to hear you are not upset. I know a lot of criminals that got caught would be upset.

i've always wanted to be pulled over becuase a cop would think i was drinking, but i wouldnt be drinking-- so the breathalizer would get a reading of Zero... and then i would laugh at the cop and speed off. :)

I've always wanted that to happen too. Mu luck, I would be drunk, though. :D
It would also be fun to get stopped for shop lifting, and not have any goods on you. I sometimes try to look suspicious in stores, just so they will think I am up to something. :D Fun Fun....

I didnt ask them, but I will safely assume that it was for terrorists, being that there was a specific terrorist threat against the brooklyn bridge!

I got stopped once when I was 13 b/c I they thought my friend and I were shop-lifting. I got all pissed, swore at him (pretty well too, my cousin the Marine had just stayed over our house on leave, so my vocabulary was quite extensive), and generally was indignant. Then I found out my friend had shoplifted. I got sheepish, let them check my pockets, then got to go home. My friend told his parents that I had convinced him to take the stuff. His parents told mine. I beat the hell out of my new ex-friend for that one, and stopped hanging around him at all.

Oh, I was pissed and I did beat him pretty hard for that age. Nut shots all over the place. Of course, I couldnt beat his butt until my butt stopped hurting too bad from my dad's reaction to the (false) news.
