Well I found this camera on the hot deals board, and I bought it. Well, despite what the site says, the warranty is 30 days, not 90 days. Wtf can I do about this besides hire a lawyer? I'm gonna call them tomorrow. The website also says a remote is included. There is no remote..

Yes. But the warranty documentation taht comes with it says 30 days. False advertising, and I could only read that once I opened the package. Now I can't return it because it's opened. Is there nothing I can do but file a complaint with the BBB or someting?

Edit: Actually I just reread. It doesn't have to be sealed to return.

Are you joking? It's only 60 days difference, how much time is it worth to you to try to fight this?

I'd leave a bad feedback if it's ebay.

If it works correctly then who cares, the odds of it breaking in those 8 weeks is pretty slim. You'd have to be pretty anal to try to persue something like that.

False advertising

if the product works and you are upset about just that , don't waste your time

but if you really want to do something , try contacting your state attorney general or state trade commision or whatever its called

They probably have plenty of legal jargon themselves stating information on the site is subject to innacuracies, etc...

30 days instead of 90 for something you paid a bit over $200 for I'd stop thinking about this immediately. Send them a nasty email and never think about it again.

Probably the best recourse here. You'd probably spend double what that camera cost you on a lawyer in the end if you try and go that way.

You might check out http://www.bendover.com . It is a website by some dude Benjamin Dover and he has a section on false advertising.

(Yes I know the website has another connotation, but it is just by luck)
