I got recognized!

Was having lunch at the center of campus with a friend, standing in line talking, and I hear, "excuse me, are you from Anandtech?" Yep, KEV1N recognized me from the photos in my sig. :Q Better memory for faces than I have, that's for sure. And then I had to explain all about ATOT to my friend over lunch.

Anyone else have similar AT stories?

when i was driving back to Wash. DC from Ohio after visiting my fiance, I stopped on the Penn. Turnpike to fill up on gas and who do i see getting gas right in front of me. It's my Java teacher from college. I went to college at UT btw. That just absolutely freaked me out.

I think the SCA tops Ren Faires (I never understood the point of Ren Faires except to get money from the tourists). LAN parties are much "geekier" as you travel a fair distance to plug in computers and play games that involve little personal (you're right there) interaction.

I'm an accountant that is a long time SCA member and into computers and plays Magic as another hobby. Hard to out geek that <grin>.
