I joined a bowling league to try to get 'back in the groove' this year. It's been a while since I played on a prize league, and missed the excitement, or whatever you want to call it 
I got kinda pissed off because we kept needing someone to go get the balls as they were not coming back. We had to wait about 10 minutes once because they only had one mechanic and he was fixing another lane. (WTF do you have only one mechanic for when the house is packed?!)
Anyway, I had a decent game going, but I kept leaving pocket 10's. For those who dont know what that means, it means I hit the pocket of the pins (for me, midway between the 1 and 3 pins on the right of the head pin) but my ball didn't 'drive' or follow though into the pins like it should have, and I ended up leaving the 10 pin, which is the far right pin in the back. I did it 3 times in the last game, and f'ed up and missed one of them (and thus missed a spare) because I was so annoyed.
In the tenth frame I needed 2 strikes and at least 2 pins to win the last game. I got the first strike, and the second one felt so perfect that I turned around and raised my hands in a "lookit me, I'm awesome" kind of gesture. Well, I was smited. It sounded perfect, but one of my teamates started laughing and said 'ya missed one haha' (and thus lost the last game) I yelled out "the f'in 10 pin wasn't it". Sure enough, I turned around, and there was the 10 pin laughing at me.
Well, I got pissed off since I f'ed up and lost the game, so on my last ball to pick up the 10 I whipped it really fricking hard and yelled 'DIE' as I threw it. then spun around and started stomping back. I heard the pin slam into the wall really hard. A guy on the other team starts to say soemthing then gets this amased look on his face and gasps along with my team and some of the people who glanced over start with the same thing. I am like bewildered at this point and start to trun back towards the lane when I hear a bunch of glass break from down there.
I turn around and the pin is about 20' down the lane and the glass from the florescent lights and the ball counter are falling out of the cieling above the pinsetter. (the thing that picks up and resets the 10 pins) My team told me that I slammed the pin on the right (knocking it towards the middle of the pit) it hit something down there (another pin or the wall) and flew back up and slammed into the cieling by the pinsetter. The pin ended up nailing the protective cover over the pin lights and broke it, thus breaking all the florescent lights in it, and raining glass and the cover onto the deck. That in turn cracked and broke one of the ball counter lights. The pin then continued on it's merry way out into the lane. Yay me. I can't wait until I hear the comments on this one next week.
