They're not coming in until Nov.6th, dang it. I'm really interested in seeing how they came out. The three pictures I had taken were
  • a horse stance with basic straight-out A-frame hold on chucks,
  • a reverse front stance staff block, and
  • a simple front kick board break

I'm not so sure the front kick is going to look good cuz I didn't get full extension before he snapped the damn pic, but it's all good. I didn't really care for that one anyway. I'm REALLY interested in seeing the staff block, though. The chucks pic should be good, but not my fav.

sorry for what? support is good.

I actually fought with full-contact sparring gear this past Friday. I've been fighting full contact for two months but didn't get the pads until recently. My god, getting kicked is much more favorable when you've got two inchess of padding between your ribs and the heal or ball of the guy's foot.

but no pads has it's highlights. It's an incredible rush knowing that you could go down with broken bones <*snap*> that fast.

Now they're cumbersome and annoying. But atleast I'm safe to some degree...

Tried Taekwondo for a while but didn't like it. I do Wu Shu Kwan Chinese Kickboxing..

Yoour leg technique is second to none, but the rest of the martial art is somewhat limited compared to what I do.

Still, I wouldn't mess with you! ;)

A friend of mine teaches TKD but has recently realized that it is not adequate as a practical martial art on its own and although he spends most of his time with it he's been supplementing with Judo and Jiu jitsu as well...

IMHO Cross training is the best thing you can do, of course after you have a good foundation. Some people try to study everything they can get their hands on and they don't even have stances or good kicks/punches down yet.

I've done TKD for like 7 years now and I can't think of a more fun sport.. But for self defense.. no one can touch my TKD.. you know why? I back it up with firearms :)
