I got my hands on some Victoria's Secret paraphenalia.

Deep pockets sure make for interesting relationships.

Goodwill is great for old merchandise.

I know it's supposed to be Cinderella but who names their kid after a fire that's gone out?

In this thread, there lessons to be learned about looking at solely the "four corners" of a posting, that what appears to be something "on its face" can have alternative expalantions, and the drawing of inferences, even if reasonable, can be utter bullshit in a state of ignorance.

Victoria Secret sold, in its stores, classical music CDs to young late boomers and Gen X femmes during the late 80s and early 90s. The kinky British London Symphony Orchestra, a bastiion of vice, sin, and sex, did not refuse to accept the vice money from lingerie sales to the then-youth of the day, who are now 50+ year old grandmas selling houses or dying, thus causing their inventory to get donated to Goodwill, which this poster obtained, along with numerous other CDs from stars of the yesteryear.

The marriage of classical and sex proves yet again that commercial success of music is beneficial when it is sexed up, as the albums were very successfully in terms of numbers sold, going platinum.

So, I have listened to the first CD, the Nutcracker selections. The music is certainly well-played and would've certainly done its job in complementing the then-young and now your grandma's purchase of wares from a late 80s-early 90s Victoria's Secret store. Tchaikovsky is an obvious choice due to the fame of his melodies and the popular familiarity of some of the Nutcracker's music. The not-so-familiar parts were also calculated well for its target audience.

Lol, "Classics By Request" Volume 3 mislabels Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring as "Exceprt The Tempered Clavier/Bach". Can't have Jesus in your face like that. 🤣

So, did you learn the lesson you hoped to learn by posting cryptically about obtaining something from a retailer primarily known for selling frilly undergarments?

I used to buy my ex stuff from there before the Internet was popular. Getting the brochure in the mail was great, good whacking material. When I stopped getting them we'd have to go buy something else lol. Later on I'd get coupons for a free pair of panties to try and get you back into the store. Our local one left many years ago, so I have not been to one for years, and I have the internet now.

I'm selling a bunch of used used electronics on Facebook marketplace now. It's like one third of the things right now are used prom dresses, some being modeled by the young girl that is selling them. I could see perverted old men buying those up lol. If I can think of it, someone already has.

Intentionally triggering responses under assumptions of one thing sold only to surprise it was for something completely different, as typical of OT?

I was successful. And that men certainly are not privvy to want women want and have bought.

The commercial success was not unnoticed in geensboro and Seatlle's press.

As typical of... probably anywhere
I guess you really do think you did something here.

I think you're reading a lot into things. They put this stuff up by the register, you're already dropping $100+ easily at VS, only another $10-20 (probably?) for "ooh, classical music for Christmas, that's classy/cute, I'll have that too", or being added on as a gift by a guy buying something for his special lady, or the employees suggesting it to go along with their purchase.

I was under the impression her name is just "ella" and the cinder part is more derogatory, like shes covered in soot and ash from being the cleaning lady/indentured servant.
