I've been engaged for quite some time,very happily without a ring.This was a very pleasant surprise and I'm thrilled with it.It's a family stone and I feel honored to be wearing it.

Thanks for clearing that up. How did the whole engagement thing work without a ring? No reason you have to have a ring, but did you have your own little thing to replace this tradition?
