My Job decided I was not doing good enough for them so they let me go. Not fired..... Blaaaaawa Yes!
I am so happy to be away from that dumpy excuse of a Company that only takes. They cut wages cut benefits cut hours.

But they did say they would of put me in a different department if a opening existed. Glad they did not 😛

I was going to leave them after my vacation anyway and find a better job.

So true. At one company I was working at, I wanted to quit in the worst way. Well, layoffs came around, and I told my boss that I would like to be let go during the layoffs. They did, and I got a fat severance package. 😀
 
No severence for me. It would of only been my Vacation and 1 weeks pay. About 488 dollars.

I did Great when I was in production. But I just hated being in Test so booooring so my performance slacked. Probably not as bad as anybody else but they wanted to cut bodies wheeeeeeee.

Let me put it this way I was close to 10 bucks an hour and they cut my wages to minnimum wage.

Just happy to be gone. Will get a temp job till something gurrreaaaaaaat comes along

my company tried that too.. but somehow I wiggled my way back in.. they sort of wanted me on standby.. they didnt want to fire me.. cause i knew stuff others didnt know.

The problem is that they company was going down anycase and I am still looking for a job.. I need a job quite badly now. Funds are quite low but I will manage another month. They still owe me the last check.. but they cant seem to give it cause they are fscked themselves... i am hoping this weekend i will get my last check. The company treated its employees badly and the people who contracted the company for work got to know about it and pulled the job.. and several other companies did the same thing.

So greed does come around and stab you.

PS: Its a good time to leave cause the market is rebounding nicely. Only problem for me is that I need a part time position cause I go to school.
 
Congratulations! Having no job at all is far better than working at a job that you hate. Trust me, because I've quit from some real crappy jobs in my day, and always landed at something better.
 
The_good_guy: Sounds just like my ex-company. They can't get parts and are having a terrible time with meeting deadlines cause of people don't care and supply of materials.

Yep glad to be gone but hate being in the job search market again. Thats the only reason I stayed.

Geez, it sounds like we work (or used to work) at the same company. The job I held prior to my last position was by far one of the worst places I have ever worked. The president and vice-president were complete pricks. They treated everyone like crap and they knew it too but they didn't care one bit. Their reasoning was "If they can't handle it then they should leave". Lovely theory except it resulted in probably one of the highest turn-over rates I've ever seen in a company. They had to get a new secretary just about every month (sometimes twice a month) because nobody would put up with their bad attitudes. People wouldn't even bother putting in two weeks notice, they would just pack up their things and leave, or they just wouldn't show up for work the next day.

Oy, I could go on and on about this pathetic excuse for a company. It's really amazing that they're still in business. There were companies that refused to to business with them because of the management.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but as you can tell I hold alot of resentment for my ex-employer :disgust:

Anyway, good luck finding another position. I'm in the same boat as you so you're not alone in your job search.
 
Yea......... 😀 I could laze around and get fat or I could take advantage of the situation and get a better job.......... Hummmmmmm Can I just waste the summer and get a job this fall 😀
