GLIDE WORKS!
follow these steps. download the omega drivers for the voodoo's for windows 2000
then go to http://www.geocities.com/shs_3dfx/download/3dfx_3-4-5_winxp_test_1.zip and download this driver
install your omega drivers 1st then restart.
open the zip and install that, overwrite any files that the winxp_test_1.zip asks you to
so far it works in diablo II :) now i can get around blizzards poor programming and making it only work in glide.. now glide works!
wahoo :)
i hope this works for everyone else

Neat...I shall pass this on to some poor sucker who's trying to get his V3 working in WinXP.

BTW, you don't use HTML tags for links on the forums.

You have to type [L=Marty's Rig]http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?id=13036[/L]

Cut and paste that (exactly as it's written) into your sig and that will make you a link.

The [] are control tags for the Forum Software. And L is the specific tag for a link.

<< What are the Nfx Voodoo4/5 Drivers?
This are drivers brought to you by AE Software Technologies that have been specifically designed to be used with the latest Windows Operating Systems based on the NT Kernel. The Nfx Voodoo4/5 Drivers are compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP Home Edition/Windows XP Professional Edition.

How Nfx Voodoo4/5 Drivers perform?
This drivers includes special features to make the 3dfx Voodoo5 cards perform faster than they usually do. In some of our tests, we have found out that the drivers sometimes can perform up-to (if no more) 68fps more than using the official drivers. Compared to some drivers available on the web, the Nfx Voodoo4/5 Drivers perform 50% faster than other drivers available on the web for the Voodoo4/5 video card.

<< what is glide ? >>

It's a piece of teflon or similarly slippery resin that's applied to chairlegs to prevent scratching of the floor.

Cheers!
