How do they find your resume on monster? Do they do searches for all their employees or something? Seems a strange thing to do.

everytime an employee collects uninsurance, the company's unemployment insurance goes up.

 
WTF? That is screwed up. Considering the loyalty most companies have to their employees, that's absurd. And hiring new people is expensive & risky. Shrug ... whatever.
I wouldn't have gotten "fired" though ... better to resign. I'd rather not have to explain getting fired in a future interview, even if your company was being an ass.

Loyalty is definitely not on the radar for this company. I had a chance to see a hidden intranet page with all the former employees and their employee number -- the company turned over 70% of its 200 employees in about 2.5 years. They like to bring in young programmers and people right out of college and pay them nothing. They figure you'll either stick around and deal with it or get fired. Sales reps drop like flies there. About once a quarter they fire at least 3-4 sales reps. The week before Christmas this year I watched them fire 6 sales reps and demote a VP of sales. This company has one thing on their mind and its revenue. One of the major problems within my department is that being an IT support team we generate no revenue for the company but use a good amount of money in purchasing new hardware for workstations and servers. I figure at the rate their going they will have no senior developers left within the next few years. But enough about that place.......😀

The new company is directly involved in auto sales. We work with a number of different people including dealers, wholesalers, auctions, and private customers in buying and reselling cars at wicked prices. It's been a lot of fun so far and has the potential to turn into something big. I definitely like the idea of having my pay directly tied to the amount of effort I put in. At the old job I could bust my a$$ and not even gain any extra notice. Working in that kind of environment is not very motivating and can only sustain one for so long before you just get fed up with all the stupid games that management likes to play and say fvck it!
 
I've never been fired, professionally. I've been asked to leave alot of times, but usually the manager that asked me to go,was the one who ended up getting fired. Come to think of it, I did get fired back in High School, but that was from a burger joint. I had this boss named Ralph, who had an obnoxious beard. One day, when he was ordering me around, like he owned the joint, it came to me. Yep, I told him off...........I told him to go F*ck his beard. That statement got me fired. 😉

They will fire ou within the legal work contract - this means with previous announcement of n days, as written in the contract. It is perfectly legal
