I can't wait to quit my job in 2 week.. i make good, 200k a year but its not worth my time baby sitting these kids and how to run a network/servers.

Ill post pics of the amazing network these guy put together... you'd laugh your head off..

Exchange Servers..

ESE finds error in pages..

This happens a lot in exchange, a simple eseutil will help you diagnose if you need to erase some pages. Instead of doing a db diagnostic, these guys try to move the data by copying the DB to another server.. what a good waste of 2 hours... haahhaa

I hate work.. im out of here in 2 weeks

I hate stupid customers. I'm glad my company is shutting down in less than a month. Finally motivation to really look for a job that doesn't require putting up with idiots all day long.

I'm sorry but english is pretty tough to learn, I spend a lot of time looking up things in dictionary

I'm a network engineer or system administrator, i did not goto college here and its very hard to get the correct grammar since we were taught a bit different

If you don't like your coworkers, hire me instead! I'm unemployed and I'd be interested in any openings at your company.

How dumb?

I worked with this guy we nicknamed "Mr. Wizard". He was hired to be a programmer on account of how the exEDS boss liked the fact that this guy would wear a suit to work every day (he didn't know much about how to code, he was a computer salesman).

I swear to God I am not making this up.

This was back in the DOS days, and we didn't have multi-tasking OSes. Fortunately, we all had these swell editors that allowed one to shell out to DOS, do something, and pop back to the editor - no save file needed, nor lengthy reload time for the editor. So one day, Our Hero shells out to DOS, does some stuff and forgets he shelled out to DOS, fires up the editor again, changes his file, saves it, exits the second instance of the editor, does some more stuff, exits the first DOS shell (and back to the first editor), saves his file again, compiles it and it doesn't work. Then he reloads the file in the editor, and is convinced that somebody messed with his computer and undid his changes. He complains to the EDS boss. Fortunately we convinced the boss that we could not change files on his hard drive since we didn't even have a @^#( network yet.

Another time he had a program that would hang on his computer. Convinced it's something weird on his machine and not the rotten code he wrote, he goes over to another computer ("owned" by another programmer currently away from his desk), and without asking him, shells out of the editor (without saving the file) and runs the program. Of course, this other computer hung as well, and that other programmer lost the changes he was working on.

Of course, that outfit went under many years ago. I have more memories of this goofball, but I've managed to repress them, and I ain't about to dig them up again. :D

wow, your company sure pays a lot.
IT manager gets 500k?
even your 200k is pretty high for IT.

why would you leave your current job? better offer?
what's your company anyway?

I'd gladly take heat for $200K annually as long as I could stay anywhere in California and the job isn't unethical. :p
