I got this from a friend and if it didn't have a compression release it would not even be able to be pulled. Any suggestions on how I can make it easier to start? It does run

I've had issues with the spring/pull mechanism binding on pull starts, it might be worth looking at and cleaning if it's not just the backpressure of the motor.

FWIW those things really are pretty dangerous compared to 4 wheelers etc. Be careful with the front brake while turning, and don't let kids on it.

I grew up riding 3 wheelers, the dangerous issue is way overhyped. You have to use common sense on one

Ugh, trying not to derail your thread here... It's not overhyped. To someone familiar with how ATVs handle (particularly while going downhill and turning) then they're fine. But, you put someone on a 3 wheeler who doesn't understand WHY they were outlawed and it's very easy to wreck one.

I'm not saying OMG it's going to kill someone, but you DO need to be aware of their limitations.

Someone who doesn't know how to handle a 3 or 4 wheeler shouldnt be on, the reason I said common sense. A car, atv, dirt bike, steak knife the list goes on is potential dangerous for those who don't know how to use them. Dumbasses in the world are why we need obvious warning labels on things

Good grief, you were the one that said you JUST got it from a friend. I'm merely giving some advice knowing that you just got the thing.

We have many different types of people in this forum, many of which need this sort of advice. Just because you're all-knowing about all things mechanical (oh wait, you're in here every two weeks looking for help) doesn't mean every other poster knows as much as you.

I really don't give a shit what you do or do not know. This forum and thread isn't just about you, there are others reading as well.

Take the advice and GTFO.

Subscribing to this thread to see if anyone can actually help the guy out and answer the question.

Patiently waiting for the "mom jean" wearing folks to finish lecturing.

Had a '84 Honda 200X with Supertrapp pipe & extended axle.

I'm proud to say I rarely if ever wore a helmet and am alive and well today. Put well over 300hrs on that bike. Loved to make the ass end slide out and ride wheelies down the back 40.

Would love to get a Kawasaki Tecate 250 2-stroke or Honda 350X trike someday.
