I got an Interview Tomorrow @ 11:20, wish me luck! (UPDATE: WILL KNOW SOMETIME THIS WEEK)

Show the interviewer your krazy kung fu- telelphone grip...
Then for sure, you will get the job, k!

GL, out of curiosity, was the pay range posted? I've just been offered a position for a computer tech position, and they pay was (firm) 6.00/hour. I'm in college and I have my A+ and net+ and 1 year experience (at $10/hour) and the pay seems pretty low even for entry level, only thing I could think of was tech is less and less in demand, I might accept the job and just ask for a raise down the line or take the job and apply other places and see where that gets me, of course my little sister who is in high school is making $7/hour as a cashier at a shoe store lol

Posted pay is $9.50. This isn't so bad, local bestbuy/compusa shops pay $8.50 here. No certifications required, just expierence. (which I have🙂)

I call BS, no tech support pays $6 an hour. Even gheto convergys pays $8 or I've heard $7.50 at times.

hang on I'll snap a pic of the original newspaper post, I thought it was a slap in the face before (given 40% pay cut heh) but I couldn't find a job for just the summer while I lived at home so that cut down on my amount of free cash on hand that I can use to pay rent etc so I can't be as picky, but I might also just take a job at publix, higher starting salary there.

/edit tech_pay.JPG I don't have a scanner, I shrunk the pic as much as possible, still pretty large though, edited out employer email

Make sure to talk up your experience of figuring out problems from people who know nothing of computers.

Examples are always a plus. Keywords "Explain a problem/solution using non-technical words is a great strength of mine"

That's pretty crappy pay. Cornell's Helpdesk pays starting Consultants $9/hr which was pretty good before I got promoted.
